"Yanks are back in Saddleworth" started out as "The Yanks Event" back in 2001 the Original Organizers were Peter & Joyce Cartner along with Ian & Stella Bailey, which went on until 2007.
In 2008 it changed to The Saddleworth Wartime Weekend with a new team of 6, it was never "one mans own show" as some believe nor was it ever an MVT event. Due to the discord between members of team it was decided to approach Peter to discuss the possibility of him reclaiming the show, so on the 20th January 2010 at the Heaton Park public house a meeting took place with Peter & Joyce Cartner, myself Paul dog tags, Wendy, Ken, Mark and Ian, at this meeting Peter declined the offer to reclaim the show and he also declined to join the team, but he has supported the show for the last three years and still remains part of the show. So it was decided to change the name again to the name we all know today. "Yanks are back in Saddleworth" with 2 of the Original team from the 6 the 6th one being Wendy (taking the picture no 3), picture no 4 is the 2010 team.
